the shave prep should be performed in the patient holding area not the operating room eyebrows should be shaved with electric razor when hair is removed for a craniotomy procedure the patients hair should go into a secure bag and labeled with a patient's name and identification number. This is the property of the patient and should be kept with the chart. it is recommended that an electric clipper be used not a razor to prevent cutting the patients skin.
